Coming from a 7-year-old...

The other night I was putting Carigan to sleep, and she mentioned that she was afraid of being in the dark. Camille was standing next to us listening to her sister. Just as I was about to encourage her to not be afraid of the dark, her big sister began to speak.

"Carigan, listen. I have something very important to tell you. You do not have to be afraid because God is with you. He will not let anything happen to you. He sends his angels out to protect us. There are probably angels here in this room right now, but we cannot see them. You have nothing to be afraid of, but if you do get afraid then just come into my room, and I will pray for you. Okay? I love you."

With that, she kissed her goodnight as I froze in awe of the little woman of God that my 7-year-old had become. Carigan smiled with a new sense of confindence that her sister had instilled. I held back my proud tears and found that there was nothing else to say. She had said it all!

Christmas Time

Can you guess who this secret Santa is?

Cami and Cari enjoying their new trampoline from Nana and Poppy.

The girls with their twins on Christmas Morning waiting to go downstairs and open presents.

A family tradition...the fireplace pose while trying to guess which camera to look at.

We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope that everyone else did as well.

Our T-ball Star

Cari just finished up her first team sport!
She loved getting a snow cone at the end of each game!

She had the opportunity to hit, play first base, and even be at the pitcher's mound during games.

She is a champion for sure!!!

Cami turns 7!

It is hard to believe that my once little baby girl is now 7 years old!!!
She is so fun to be around and has the cutest personality with everyone as her friend!
She is a real pop star in my book!

Thanksgiving Traditions...

As the Momma in this family, I love traditions!!! We make time to do special things with our kids during the seasons because I know we are making memories. Every year we go hunting for acorns, leaves, or pine cones. I love showing the kids how you can find beauty in nature.

This is our first year to purchase a Thanksgiving count down, but I have been wanting one for quite sometime. This was a lot of fun!!!

We made this banner when Camille was around 2 years old...so that means it has survived 5 years with us now!!! I hope I never have to get rid of it!!!

We made this turkey last year. Cari named it Rocket Turkey! We added feathers to it everyday with our thankful phrases on the back.

I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with family traditions too!!!

The Sweet Berry Farm's Pumpkin Patch!!!

We welcomed fall the same way we did last year, at the Sweet Berry Farm! This time we had the pleasure of having my parents with us. The girls had a wonderful time!

I took this same pose last year. Man, have they grown!

They had fun painting pumpkins...

and riding horses...

and this year we did the big Texas corn maze! These are our tickets that are punched showing we found all of the "lakes"! I think it took us over an hour to find them all!!!

New Blog Adventure...

I just started a new blog . . . Daily Devotions From A Girl Just Like You! http://dailydevotionsfromagirljustlikeyou.blogspot.com/

It is located under "My Peeps" as the first link. My goal is put together a daily devotion from the practical everyday stuff in my own life. I love devotions and felt moved to start my own in hopes of having fun. I plan on keeping it real, to the point, and entertaining at best. I hope you check it out and give me some feed back along the way!
