Silly Carigan

Cari has had some crazy dreams lately...

This was a bad dream she told me while she was about to cry....

"I had a bad dream, Mommy. I dreamed that you turned into a doggy and all you could say was, 'Woof, woof.'"

While trying not to laugh, I reassured her that I could never turn into a dog. Later she told me that I went into a machine, and it was what turned me into a dog.

(This is her in her superhero costume with her superhero dog...that is plastic icecream cone for his hat.)

A couple of days later she told me that she had a funny dream.

"I dreamed I smelled a stinky hand."  She went on to say, "An adult lady slapped a mouse, and she told me to smell her hand. She told me that it smelt good, but I thought it smelt bad."

She also told me one day as we were leaving to pick up Cami that she knew what throw-up meant.

"It means, smells weird."

This child is so funny and so much fun!!!!

My Marvelous Girl!

So... my oldest girl, Camille, is 6 years old. She is in Kindergarten this year, but she is a really good reader and is reading first grade books during her reading assignments that her class takes home. I heard her down stairs commenting on her nectarine. She and her sister are eating lunch at the table and I hear her say, "MMmm MMmm!!! This is so MARVELOUS!!!" I found that to be so funny coming from such a little person. She is becoming so articulate and apparently is now a connoisseur of fruit.

Our Anniversary Weekend…9 years!!!

Our theme this past weekend was trying new things.
On Thursday we dropped our precious girls off with their grandparents and Chad and I had the weekend to ourselves. That Thursday we went to Main Event in Austin and tried ROCKCLIMBING for the first time. Let's just say it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I got scared and then clung to the wall afraid to let go and glide down. Finally I trusted the rope and let go. After a few tries I finally made it up to the very top and got to ring the bell. Chad was very proud of me and I was pretty proud of myself too. Chad, on the other hand, was like Spider Man up there. He was awesome!!!

Friday we had a private dance lesson!!! We learned the Waltz and Swing! We had so much fun!!! Afterwards, Chad talked me into ice skating. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

We finished the weekend up with shopping, dinner, and a movie. It was a great anniversary weekend staying at home and going out to try new and fun things with my hubby. I recommend it to anyone…especially the dance class!!!

My Cari Girl! - Fun with a 3 year old

Most days you will find my youngest, Carigan, in brown boots and a red hat - no matter what the weather is. But some days...I discover her in a much more creative outfit, with a very interesting story of what she is pretending to be. As she is sitting in my lap right now, she getting into many of my things and telling me how busy she is. I thought I should highlight her in my blog. All of the pictures are from February (last month).

She not only has many outfits in her head to wear, but I find her doing the funniest things. She usually has many random toys that she gathers together to play with. She usually collects them in her shopping basket, buckets, baskets, stroller, purses, or anything that she can cram something into.

She loves being a Mommy or a puppy most days. Her second favorites would be acting like a super hero or someone who is real busy. She also has a thing for tying up stuff...don't ask me why!

She is also a great help in her kitchen and mine! She loves helping and making a mess!!!

We sometimes find her asleep in the strangest positions or places. I think she must be like her Daddy and fall asleep anywhere!

She has two buddies here at the house. Her cat Cheeto...

And her #1 Buddy is her Sissy that she loves and adores and tries to be like...Camille!
