A Father's Love

Last year Chad started a tradition by taking his girls to the school's Daddy Daughter Dance. This was the second year he took his two girls. They go out to dinner and then to the dance where they serve dessert. They have their picture taken together and he buys them whatever they pick out at the gift table. He dances with them and they all have a special time together. My girls are going to know first hand what a gentlemen is like.

When Chad comes home from work it is like a celebration of madness! The girls run and hide so that their Dad will try and find them. Once found...they scream and run around like crazy. Things are loud and exciting once he is home and I wouldn't have it any other way. The girls know that there are no rules during the time he comes home. They can jump on the bed, run around, and go wild. They can be themselves and their Daddy will love them all the more.

I was thinking the other day how similar it is when we come before our Father in heaven. We can come boldly to Him and there aren't any rules that would get in the way. We can just be ourselves and not care about anything else. He wants to bless us and He loves us like no other. What a great blessing it is that we get to demonstrate God's love in such a simple way with our own children.

Ah I can't wait until Stephen and Madeline can start going to a Daddy-Daughter dance. (they do go off every once in awhile for Daddy-Maddy days). Chad and the girls looked so nice dressed up! :)
